AHS 19 v 28 Scallywags
The quarter started with first centre from AHS, which saw a fast paced game from both sides. This saw Scallywags get into a stride with accurate shooting from Alana Smith and Anne Marie Robinson, which made it difficult for AHS defenders. The quarter ended 7-2 to Scallywags.
Going into the second quarter, a few changes were made for both teams and Scallwags started coming into their own, with strong defending from Ami Maddison and Ella Robertson, who were making it difficult for the AHS shooters. This quarter ended 18-6.
Going into the third quarter found AHS determined to narrow the gap. With Sadie Fox going into the defending circle, saw rebounds won for AHS with Fox and Jess Fraser working well together. This led to AHS working the ball up the court and with accurate shooting from AHS, saw the gap narrow.
The fourth quarter started with a fast pace. With good teamwork between AHS midcourts Cara Montgomery and Jodie Kerfoot which saw the ball going into the AHS shooters. With strong linking between Scallwags Rhea Isbister and Rowan Nicolson in midcourt, Scallywags were able to take back control of the game. The game ended 28-19 to Scallywags.
