AHS 21 V 25 Ness

 

In the first quarter Ness started strong with mid court Aimee Budge playing some brilliant feeds into the Ness circle. Ness shooters Estella Smith and Sarah Kissick were able to carry out some very accurate shots making it difficult for AHS defenders Cara Montgomery and Jess Fraser. This pushed Ness ahead in the first quarter to 7-2

 

Going into the next quarter, both teams started strong making lots of good clean passes down the court. AHS were hot on their feet in mid court, with many interceptions from Annie Mouat and Jess Wadley. Lots of high passes in the circle towards Ness and only a few rebounds were picked up but AHS quickly pushing them back up court. Ness had great linking between Rhea Isbister and Aimee Budge in mid court, with quick accurate passing into the circle. AHS were determined to win back some goals with some great shots from shooters Caitlin Spence and Sadie Fox ending the 2nd quarter only 15-5 to Ness.

 

AHS made alters to positions putting Annie Mowat and Sadie fox in the defending circle for height and determination, while moving mid-court Cara Montgomery to GA providing good feeds swift shots, scoring AHS 8 points in the third quarter and Ness 9 points, meaning AHS were coming back into the game with these new adjustments. Jodie Kerfoot and Jules Jarmson making sharp drives to help move the ball up the court after Mowat successfully intercepts the Ness ball into their shooting circle. The 3rd quarter ended 24-13 to Ness

 

The 4th quarter started very well for AHS as shooters Cara Montgomery and Caitlin Spence began to link well in the circle and were receiving excellent passed from mid courts Jules Jarmson and Jess Fraser. Defenders Sadie Fox and Annie Mowat making it very difficult for Ness shooters Smith and Kissick to drive into the circle and receive the passes from mid courts. The 4th quarter ended at a very close 25-21 to Ness. Players of the match were Molly Fraser for Ness and Cara Montgomery for AHS.
