The game started with the first centre pass from AHS which saw good links between Cara Montgomery, Niamh Paton and Sadie Fox into the shooting circle. With strong pressure from both defending circles the first quarter ended 8-7 to AHS.

The second quarter started strong from Filsket defence, with good work between Kirsten and Kayti Jeromson which lead to the ball travelling up the court at a fast pace to Sarah Grogan who was confidently putting up the shots. The second quarter ended 20-11 to Filsket.

Going into the third quarter it saw AHS come out fighting to try to narrow the gap, with Annie Mowat coming on in midcourt. Good team-work from Tegan Hendren and Jess Fraser in the defending circle saw AHS regain possession. However, with good linking between Vhari Graham, Marianne Gardner and Grogan it saw Filsket remain in the lead going into the fourth quarter, with the score being 28-23.

The fourth quarter started with fast paced play from both sides. With strong interceptions from Jodie Kerfoot to turn over the play and get the ball back down to the AHS circle, but with tight defending from the Jeromson’s it made it difficult for AHS to get the ball into the circle. This then found the ball travelling back up to the court to Gardner and Grogan who were confidently putting up the shots. With a hard fought quarter from AHS to try narrow the gap Filsket managed to come out on top. The game finished 41-32 to Filsket. Player of the match for AHS was Sadie Fox and for Filsket Sarah Grogan.
