Challengers remained strong at the start of the third quarter, but with well-timed defending from Amber Paton and Anne Irvine and well worked mid court play saw Da McEwans increase their lead. Challengers fought hard throughout the quarter but were unable to close the gap. The quarter ended 26-11
A fast paced game continued, both teams giving everything they had in an attempted to take the points. Challengers GD Audrey Irvine and GK Amy Pearson continued to put pressure on da McEwans GA Kirsty Porter and GS Mairi Polson but unfortunately for the Challengers Da McEwans had a big enough lead and took the win, 35-18.
