Challengers 18 V Unst 33

Unst had first centre pass and used it well converting it to take the first goal. Although both teams started strongly, Unst took advantage and built and early lead. Good defence from Unst GK Ailidh Risk and GD Ashley Symington, meant that the Challengers shooters were have to work hard in the circle to find opportunities to shoot. The first quarter ended 7-3 to Unst. Challengers came out fighting back hard in the 2nd quarter, determined not to let Unst extend their lead. GA Valerie Sales and GS Danielle Johnson worked well within the circled to take the score up to 15-10 at the end of the 2nd quarter. In the third quarter Unst made a few changes, Dione Paul came on at GS and made an immediate impact with her accurate shooting. Unst extended their lead to 25-11 despite great defending from Abbey Irvine and Amy Pearson of Challengers. Unst continued to push right to final whistle with the final score was 33-18 in their favour. Players of the Match were Ailidh Risk for Unst and Abbey Irvine for Challengers both for their excellent defensive performances.
