Delting 18 V All Sorts 31

Delting’s Ashley Hay took the first centre pass of the game. It took a while before the first goal was scored with the ball going from one end of the court to the other. All Sorts Alexis Jamieson and Kayleigh Gear worked well together in attack. Charlotte Slater, Goal Keep for Delting, was able to get some good touches to the ball, slowing down All Sorts attack. All Sorts lead the first quarter by just 8-6.

The second quarter saw Delting coming out firing making this quarter very tense. Delting’s shooters Rhona Clark and Krissie Robertson worked well in the shooting circle. Ashley Hay for Delting was creating lovely space round the circle making it easier to feed into the shooters. This quarter was tight with both teams working hard throughout the court. Delting took that quarter 7-6, however All Sorts had the overall lead by one goal, leaving the score 13-12 to All Sorts at half time.

The third quarter saw both teams make changes however the biggest impact was from All Sorts, Chloe Howarth coming on at Goal Keep. She was able to shut down the movement of Delting in the shooting circle. Goal Shoot, Melanie Tulloch, for All Sorts was able to capitalise on turnovers. This meant All Sorts were able to extend their lead to 24-14.

The final quarter saw Delting make some changes again with Hannah-Lisa Laurenson and Jenna Mowat coming back into defence for Delting. Mowat won back some rebounds and turnovers for Delting. However, Delting was unable to close the gap All Sorts had produced within the third quarter. The end score was 31-18 to All Sorts. Players of the match were Ashley Hay for Delting and Melanie Tulloch for All Sorts.
