Delting 39 v 36 McEwans
Was a strong start to the game from Deltings team. McEwans had a steady start which really showed Deltings patients on the court. Ecwans were showing great circle work and resulted in them shooting. Both teams showed very strong communication through the game, which helped both teams out. Deltings Mid Court was strong and had great talking, which showed well as they got up the court and was able to make a shot overcoming McEwans outstanding defence.
Delting started the quarter off with a shot from Lara White. Both teams had strong passes and were communicating well within their teams. McEwans was a strong team for Delting however this didn’t affect their play as Delting were strong in their passes and getting the ball up the court to their shooters. McEwans were very determined to make it up the court to their shooters however they had to dodge Deltings outstanding defence. McEwans had some great interceptions but the quarter finished strong.
Both teams started with a couple of shots in the 3rd Quarter, Jenna Mouat had a strong defence and helped the mid court of Delting out pushing the ball up the court to the Shooters, Delting worked very well together around the circle resulting in great shots. Isla T, from McEwans was a strong player in this quarter getting a few great interceptions. Both teams showed very strong defence making it hard to break the play and was end to end play for the quarter.
The final quarter started strong by McEwans, it showed their determination, they started off with great passing, using their players and making use of the space on court, they worked really well as a team. Both teams were showing their determination as the play picked up and started to get more intense, McEwans used their determination and used it to their advantage to intercept some amazing passes however Delting was successful in breaking down McEwans defence. The game was overall very high energy and intense and both teams didn’t stop fighting until the last whistle. The game finished 39-36 to Delting.
