Both teams took a while to settle in, 3 minutes later the first goal was scored. Scallywags (C) Anne Leask and (WA) Bethany Moar worked well together to allow their shooters to gain an 8 goal advantage going into the second quarter.
Dutch Courage put up a good fight, with great interceptions from (GK) Laura Sinclair and (GD) Aleisha Tulloch. Scallywags maintained their lead with accurate shooting from (GS) Eden Wadley and (GA) Chrissie Arthur.
Scallywags went into the third quarter leading by 7 goals. The defence of Rhea Isbister and Judy Hamer made Dutch Courage shooters work hard to try get a chance of a goal. Dutch Courage Kathleen Robertson and Sonja Jamieson worked well together in the centre court, how ever Scallywags were on form and maintained their lead of 34-19.
Scallywags pushed ahead again, but Dutch Courage started to find spaces in the attacking circle and got some more goals in to ensure they were getting half points. Both teams fought hard to the final whistle but it was Scallywags who came out on top with 38 – 23.
