The first quarter started at a fast pace with end to end play from both teams. Both mid courts were working tirelessly to keep possession, with good interceptions from Kinetics (WD) Louise Kelly , helping her team keep the score close. The first quarter ended 8-6 to Johnson Jaguars.

Going into the second quarter the competitiveness continued. Jaguars midcourt of Caitlin Munro (C) and Sophie Morris (WA) worked well together playing important passes into their shooting circle. The Kinetics defensive pairing of Ella Johnson and Shannon Stevenson working well together to try and intercept the ball from getting into the Jaguars shooters. Accurate shooting from Rachel Young (GS) and Megan Nicolson (GA) helped to just keep Jaguars ahead as the quarter ended 14-13.

In the third quarter the game remained fast paced. Kinetics Liza Fullerton (WA) and Kristi Grant (C) feeding vital passes into the shooters with the Jaguars defence of Chloe Jamieson (GK) and Freya Leslie (GD) working hard to try intercept. Maisie Ramsay (GA) tightly marked by Leslie managed to keep her composure with fantastic shooting to pull Kinetics ahead 23-18.

The last quarter Jaguars knew they had to work hard to stay in the game, although Ciara Kelly (GD) of Kinetics made life difficult for the shooters with many interceptions. With Kayleigh Young coming on at GK and Kelsea Blades at WD for Jaguars this provided fresh legs and more support play however it wasn’t enough to close the gap and Kinetics managed to keep the lead. The game ended 25-28. Players of the match were Freya Leslie for Johnson Jaguars and Maisie Ramsay for Kinetics.
