It was a strong start for Challengers with their midcourt players Sarah Groat and Holly Jamieson working well to get the ball up to their shooters Danielle Johnson and Katie Sandison. Jaguars GK Chloe Jamieson and GD Freya Leslie worked well together to defend their attackers and get the rebounds however it was Challengers who took the lead ending the first quarter 8-4.

The second quarter saw changes to midcourt in both teams. Jaguars Maisie Malcolmson came into attack and worked tirelessly with Caitlin Munro to bring the ball up the court to shooters Megan Nicolson and Sophie Morris. Challengers kept pushing back with their defenders Abbey Arthur and Amy Pearson intercepting the ball as it made its way up the court. However Jaguars shots were on target and managed to even up the scores ending the second quarter 15 each.

The third quarter saw some strong defending from Jaguars who intercepted many passes and got the ball up to their shooters. Challengers were keen to take back the lead taking on Vicky Irvine in defence, however some good circle work from Jaguars attack saw them finishing the third quarter ahead 26-19.

The final quarter saw both teams tiring but Jaguars were keen to maintain their lead. Jaguars midcourt players pushed continuously with WD Kelsea Blades and Leslie intercepting and working the ball up to their shooters.
