Mishaps 43 V 24 McEwans
The game started fast and furious with Mishaps having the first centre pass. Alicia Hunter (GA) and Morgan Henderson (GA) were shooting strong despite the McEwans defenders Ellie Sutherland (GD) and Anne Irvine (GK) working hard in the circle. Mishaps Kelsey Robb (C) and Carly Cheyney (WA) were attacking well and feeding the ball into the circle.
Nicola Polson moved into C position for the next quarter and worked really hard to defend against the strong Mishaps side. McEwans shooters, Mairi Polson (GS) and Brenna Irvine (GA) were finding it challenging to find space between the Mishaps defenders and Mishaps went into half time leading 21-10.
The third quarter saw some changes for Mishaps with Heather Ahern coming on at WD and Jordan Kay at GK and Anne Irvine moving to WD for McEwans. McEwans were determined in the centre court to gain possession and pull back some goals, with Kayleigh Irvine (WA) making some great passes up court.
Mishaps made further changes in the final quarter which saw Henderson and Hunter continuing with strong shooting, rarely missing a shot. McEwans found the strong Mishap defence of Elaine Burgess (GD) and Brooke Williamson (GK) too much despite working tirelessly throughout. Mishaps came out on top winning 43-24. Players of the match were Alicia Hunter for Mishaps and Kayleigh Irvine for McEwans.
