Mishaps 51 vs Dutch Courage 21

The first quarter began at a steady pace with Cara Johnson covering the centre court well for Dutch Courage.  Mishaps were receiving centre passes well with Leah Henry (WA) using the space confidently to allow shooters Morgan Henderson (GA) and Carly Cheyney (GS) to take a strong lead at the end of the first quarter with the score standing at 13-6.

Mishaps went into the second quarter strong with some great defending from Brooke Williamson (GK) and Vicky Wiseman (GD) making difficult for Dutch Courage shooters Cerys Harrop and Aaliyah Leask.  Mishaps remained determined to maintain their lead with Heather Hunter (WD) and Kelsey Robb (C) lining well and pushing the ball up court into the Mishaps circle.  Mishaps went into half time leading 23-11.

Mishaps remained confident with some good centre court passing between Suzanne Manson (WA) and Morgan Henderson.  Morgan and Carly were moving well in the circle and maintained accurate shooting to take a larger lead.

The final quarter saw Mishaps start with a 23 goal advantage but this did not put off Dutch Courage.  Sonja Jamieson (GD) worked tirelessly to grab any rebound available and Cara Johnson (C) maintained good speed around the court.  In the end, the Mishaps proved too strong on this occasion to allow Dutch Courage to pull back with the game ending 51-21 in Mishaps favour.Players of the match were Brooke Williamson for Mishaps and Cara Johnson for Dutch Courage.
