Ness 36 V 50 Tulloch Tornadoes
Both teams started strong, great play up court from Molly Fraser in WA to Sarah Kissick in GA for Ness. Tullochs took an interception and got it to Kirsti Leask at GS who’s shots were on target. Tullochs defence Emma Leask and Kirsten Hendry were putting pressure on Ness duo but Estella Smith was moving and shooting well. First quarter ended 14-9 to Tullochs. Moving into the second quarter Tullochs come back on court fighting. This didn’t deter Ness mother daughter duo Ruth and Michela Christie. They were making it hard for the Tullochs shooters and were picking up any loose balls and giving their team opportunities to turn over the ball.
The 2nd half saw a slow start from both teams, 2 minutes went by with no goal. After this Tullochs worked hard getting the ball into the circle to tighten the gap and pulled ahead 40-24. Ness WD Ailish Goodlad was great defence support and those interceptions quickly turned into goals for Ness. Cameron Johnston and Aillie Elphinstone were working great together in the mid court for Tullochs with fast play up the court with their shooters quickly converting these opportunities into goals. The game ended 50-36 to Tullochs. Players of the match were Cameron Johnston for Tullochs and Molly Fraser for Ness.
