NESS HOTSHOTS 19 v NESS 41

The game started pretty even with both sides wanting to start the season on a high.  It was some scrappy play from both teams, clearly a bit rusty with this being the first game back.  Some good defensive work from Ness allowed them to force a few turnovers and leave the first quarter 8-6 in their favour.

Ness started the better of the two teams in the second quarter quickly scoring a few goals without a reply from Hotshots.  Their experience showed compared to a young and new Hotshots team.  Great midcourt play and some brilliant feeds into the circle allowed Ness to extend their lead and the second quarter ended 21-8.

After halftime Hotshots came back onto court with a renewed sense of fight in them and were desperate to show what they were capable of.  Good defensive play from them alongside some sloppy passes from the Ness team allowed Hotshots to stay in the game. However Ness continued to work well as a team ensuring that they stayed in the lead and the game finished 41-19 in their favour.

Players of the match were Chloe Jamieson for Ness Hotshots and Tahlia Leslie for Ness.
