Ness Hotshots started the game off very strongly with some very fluid midcourt play from C Sophie Morris and WA Molly Nicolson linking well with shooters Megan Nicolson and Kira Eldridge. Tullochs took a little while to settle down into their game but with some strong interceptions from Ava Williams they soon got some goals on the board. The first quarter ended with Hotshots in the lead 8-2.

The second quarter started off in much the same vain with some strong interceptions and tips from the Hotshots defensive pairing of Melody Goodlad and Isabel Beswick. Tullochs did make some changes going into the second quarter and that seemed to pay off for them as they started to close the gap but Hotshots remained in the lead 14-11 going into half time.

The third quarter was where Tulloch Tornadoes really started to show their strengths. Some accurate shooting from GS Bethany Anderson assisted well by GA Leanna Henderson allowed them to get more and more goals on the board. Hotshots continued to push strong, with some good movement up through the court by WD Kelsea Blades. Tulloch’s really came into their own this quarter leaving th score 29-18 in their favour.

The final quarter started off with some very good play all throughout the court from both teams. It was sticking with centre pass for the vast majority of the quarter but due to Tulloch’s lead it allowed them to stay in the lead and push on to get the win with the final score sitting at 37-26 in their favour.
