The first quarter started with Hotshots winning and converting the first centre to set them up nicely to start the game.  Some brilliant linking play between GA Megan Nicolson, WA Molly Nicolson and C Sophie Morris for Hotshots allowed them to lead 8-4 at the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter started with some scrappy play from both teams with the ball moving up and down the court a few times before either team was able to convert their shots to goal.  However excellent defending from Ness Hotshots Isabel Beswick and Melody Goodlad, feeding the ball out to WD Rebecca Millar made sure that Hotshots maintained their lead with Filsket only scoring the one goal in the second quarter allowing Hotshots to lead 13-5.

Filsket made some drastic changes in the third quarter switching Ashley Symington to C and Kayti Jeromson into the shooting circle.  This did help them to get some more goals on the board as this was their best quarter but Ness Hotshots were standing strong, playing a very smooth game meaning they maintained their lead and finished the quarter 21-13 ahead.

The fourth quarter was a very hard faught and physical affair but Ness Hotshots stayed focused and concentrated on playing their own game with some strong shooting from GS Kira Eldridge which resulted in them winning the game with a final score of 27-20.

Players of the match were Ann-Marie Goudie for SFC Filket and Kira Eldridge for Ness Hotshots
