Scallywags 22 V 36 AHS

Scallywags 22 V 36 AHS

AHS took the first centre pass and impressive shooting from Sadie Fox resulted in AHS scoring 4 shots in a row. Scallywags started to fight back with accurate shooting from Anne-Marie Robinson.

Moving into the second quarter, Scallywags Ami Maddison moved from the attacking circle into goal defence, which proved to be a wise move as she successfully intercepted numerous passes into the circle. However, the AHS’s attacking play remained effective, with Jules Jarmson’s quick movement around the circle helping feed the ball into the shooters. AHS were up 20-10 at half-time.

The 3rd and 4th quarters saw some frantic and fast play from both teams. Despite tireless work from the Scallywags defence, Sadie Fox continued her dominant play at goal attack. This helped AHS extend their lead. Scallywags Anne-Marie Robinson also netted some impressive shots from the edge of the circle despite being tightly marked by the AHS defence. AHS put in a solid performance and deservedly won the game. The final score was 36 – 22 in favour of AHS. Players of the match were Anne-Marie Robinson for Scallywags and Sadie Fox for AHS.
