SDS Kiwis 49 V Ness 17

Kiwis were first to settle into the game with fast attacking play from Sanna Aitken and Holly King. Ness defensive duo Aimee Budge and Melody Goodlad challenged well for each ball applying pressure to the Kiwis shooters but Kiwis got the lead in the first quarter ending 10-5.

Some lovely accurate shots from Ness shooters Tahlia Leslie and Estelle Smith but Kiwis defence Kim Johnson and Maisie Unsworth dominated the shooting circle claiming strong interceptions. Kiwis increased their lead with some long distance shots from Alina Murray and Zoey Symington ending the first half 24-8 to Kiwis.

Ness had found their rhythm with effective attack from Ashley Young and Sarah Kissick. Kiwis fought back to their play with swift attack and strong defence all the way up the court. Rhianne Colvin created fluent play at the shooting end of the court increasing their lead even further 39-13.

Ness kept up their energy in the last quarter pushing ahead for every goal and working well together throughout the game.  Both teams very competitive for the win but Kiwis dominated for the hour and won 49-17.
