SFC Filsket 19 – Kinetics 41

Kinetics started strong, making life hard for Filsket right from the off. Sarah Nicol (GA) and Vaila Hough (GS) didn’t take long to find their net. Kayti Jeromson (GD) and Ciara Kelly (GK) made some great interceptions which helped to slow down the momentum of the Kinetics shooters. The first quarter ended 3 – 12 to Kinetics. Second quarter saw Filsket settle more into the game with good attacking play from Sonja Kurtz (WA), Sandi Brill (C), Lisa Emslie (GA) and Marianne Williamson (GS). Emslie and Williamson having to work hard in the circle to combat the zone defence displayed by Andrea Ross (GK) and Louise Malcolmson (GD). The quarter ended 8 – 20 to Kinetics. The third quarter followed the same pattern as the second. The defence of both teams making some crutial interceptions, with the Kinetics shooters capitalising on these, converting more turnovers and extending their lead to 14 – 33. Filsket made a few changes in the final quarter but Kinetics lead was too much. Filsket were unlucky not to achieve half points. Final score 41 – 19 to Kinetics.
