SFC Filsket settled first with their shooting duo of Ashley Symington and Danielle Scott working well in the circle. Filsket’s defence of Kristen (GD) and Kayti (GK) Jeromson put the pressure on right from the start. 8-4 Filsket.

Second quarter saw Filsket double their lead. Anne-Marie Goudie (WA) and Sandi Brill (C) attacking well and precision feeds into the circle allowed Symington and Scott to capitalise. Wastside very having to worked hard with Pauline Walterson controlling their defensive circle and Kirsty Thomson (WA) showing excellent composure on court in the senior netball league.

Wastside had their best quarter in the 3rd, good play from Mhari Drowdoski, Thomson and Julie Crossan who brought the ball nicely up court showing good patience around the circle before feeding it in to the shooter. Wastside added 6 goals to there tally and closing the gap.

The final quarter saw more end to end play from both teams. Filsket brought Sarah Kay (GK) into the defensive circle adding another dimension to the game to secure the win.

Final score – 28-16 to SFC Filsket

Kayti Jeromson was awarded POM for SFC Filsket and Kirsty Thomson for the Wastside.
