SFC Filsket 38 – 16 Kinetics

SFC Filsket started strong with first centre pass. A good combination of accurate shooting from Lisa Emslie (GA) and Kelsey Tulloch (GS) and a solid defence from Kayti Jeromson (GK) and Kristen Jeromson (GD) gave Filsket the lead in the opening quarter. Liza Henderson (GA) stood out for Kinetics with good attacking play but also defensive play off the ball. Filsket were up 8-3 at the end of the quarter.

The second quarter saw Kinetics settle in their attacking circle but the opposite being said for their defensive circle, resulting in a few penalty shots being awarded to the Filsket shooters which they took no hesitation in converting. Filsket’s Lois Phillips (WA) and Sonja Kurtz (C) linked well together in attack, finding themselves in space and feeding accurate passes in their shooters. The 3rd quarter ended 25 – 13 to Filsket.

Both teams made a few changes in the final quarter. Filsket changed their defence Ciara Kelly to (GD) and Sarah Kay (GK) and Kristen Jeromson (WD). These three working well together making it extremely difficult for the Kinetics shooting duo of Henderson and Karis Georgeson (GS). Phillips and Kurtz continued to play well for Filsket. Kinetics put on their junior defence of Ella Robertson (GK) and Tegan Hendren (GD) who worked well together getting some great interception. The final score was 38-16 to Filsket. Players of the match were Sonja Kurtz for Filsket and Tegan Hendren for Kinetics.
