Supernova 30 McEwans 28

The first quarter was a close affair as both teams found their feet. It finished 6-6.
Da McEwans had the edge in the second quarter, with Diane Manson, Ellie Sutherland and Ann-Marie Anderson working hard in defence, and Sonya Nicolson and Joanne Stewart shooting well at the other end. They led 18-13 at half time.
Supernova worked hard to close the gap in the third quarter, but mother and daughter duo Maggie And Kayleigh Irvine were working tirelessly in midcourt for Da McEwans, ensuring they led 24-21 at the end of the quarter.
It was all to play for in the last quarter and Supernova were determined to get the win. Kristan Robertson worked hard to get the ball into shooters Sarah Groat and Marianne Williamson, who were finding the net. At the other end Vicky Anderson was getting many interceptions, which unsettled Da McEwans play. As the finsl whistle went Supernova had clinched the win 30-28 in a match that could have gone either way.
