All Sorts 26 v Hotfooters 25

All Sorts had the stronger start to the match taking the first quarter 10 goals to 7.  All Sorts made some changes ahead of the second quarter which they appeared to benefit from, increasing their score by 6 goals to Hotfooters 3.  The second quarter ended 16 – 10 in favour of All Sorts.

Following another reshuffle of players in both teams, the third quarter got under way.  Hotfooters Isla Murphy and Eve Fraser linked well at their centre passes to get the ball up to their shooters.  Despite the best efforts of All Sorts defenders Chloe Howarth and Stephanie Tulloch, Hotfooters started to close the gap.  The third quarter ended 21 – 17 for All Sorts.

Play in the final quarter became somewhat frenzied with Hotfooters determined to work for a win and All Sorts keen to hold on to their lead.  Hotfooters shooters, Megan Boxwell and Shaina Douglas, rarely missed the target and levelled the score with minutes to go.  However, All Sorts continued to fight hard for every ball and found the net one more time to take the match 26 – 25.  Players of the match were Hannah Wright for All Sorts and Shaina Douglas for Hotfooters.
