Tulloch Tornadoes 61 V 22 AHS

From the first quarter, it was clear this was going to be a very fast paced match, with good turnovers from both teams to keep the match competitive. Strong defence from Tulloch’s Emma Leask and Ava Williams made it difficult for AHS, reading the game well and picking up any loose balls. Good support around the circle and valuable passes from Jules Jarmson and Cara Montgomery of AHS helped their shooters Caitlin Spence and Niamh Paton to work well in a very defensive third, with accurate shooting to try and keep the scores close, ending the first quarter 17-7 in Tulloch’s favour.

Quarter 2 saw Tulloch’s attackers working well up the court with quick passes into the circle, helping the shooters Tahlia Leslie and Emma Sandison receive some great balls and take some impressive shots. AHS shuffled up their players bringing Sadie Fox on at GD to strengthen the defence, but Tulloch’s were able to link well and maintain their lead with the second quarter ending 37-16.

The 3rd quarter saw some great end to end play making the mid court players work hard to keep the pace going. Competitive play from Jess Wadley, Eve Fraser and Jodie Kerfoot for AHS saw a lot of great turnovers and good support moving up and down the court. Tulloch’s mid court of Cameron Johnson and Claire Morris and Clare Smith worked tirelessly, helping to extend the lead for Tulloch’s going into the last quarter, with the scores sitting at 45-19

The last quarter saw changes in defence for both teams. Annie Mowat coming on for AHS GK to support Sadie Fox and add extra height to the defensive circle, but Tahnae MacLennan came on for Tulloch’s with a boost of energy to help them keep up the fast paced netball right to the final whistle. The final score was 61-22 to Tulloch Tornadoes.
