Wastside 17 V 36 Unst

Wastside 17 V 36 Unst

Wastside took the first centre and both teams play was quite frantic with mistakes from both Unst and Wastside. Although both teams fought back and forth for a lead, Unst ended the quarter with a slight lead, 8-6.

In the second quarter, Wastside found their feet and settled with some good passing but were unable to get some passes into the circle due to some good interceptions by Unst defenders. Unst on the other hand had no issues getting goals, hardly missing any opportunities. The quarter ended with 16-10 to Unst.

In the third quarter Unst continued on as they’d left off converting most of their opportunities. With stand out play from GA Erin Spence intercepting many passes, as well as working hard in the circle and hardly missing a shot. Unst extended their lead to 25-14.

The last quarter saw Wastside continuing to fight hard however Unst kept extending their lead with a dominant performance, ending the quarter, 36-17. Players of the match were Erin Spence for Unst and Ashley Hunter for Wastside.
