Wastside 23 V 35 Johnson Jaguars
An exciting first quarter kicked off with both team demonstrating some great play. Unfortunately there were a few passing errors from Wastside allowing Jaguars to take the lead, ending the first quarter very close 9-10.
The second quarter saw some great passing from Jaguars Jodie Sandison (C) feeding to Sophie Morris (WA). Wastside were tiring and unable to keep up with Jaguars fast play. Tight defending from Ruth Morris (GD) ensured the ball was kept away from the Wastside shooting circle with some great interceptions. Jaguars were able to pull ahead with some fantastic shooting from Rachel Young (GS) and Aleisha Devine (GA) giving them a lead of 23-16 by the end of the second quarter.
Wastside’s Hannah Polson (GD) and Bronwyn Walterson (GK) fought tirelessly to defend the ball from Jaguars net, but Jaguars continued to pull ahead ending the third quarter 18-28. The last quarter saw Mhari Drozdowska (GA) and Erin Morrison (GS) scoring some great goals however this was not enough to beat the Jaguars with the game ending in 23-35. Players of the match were Hannah Polson for Wastside and Ruth Morris for Johnson Jaguars.
