WASTSIDE 17 SFC FILSKET 55

The first quarter started off with even play from both sides, but quickly SFC Filsket’s attacking combinations and immaculate shooting shone through. Wastside’s defensive combinations of Sarah Sandison and Mairi Williamson made some good interceptions and C Aimee Keith worked it well up the court, but filsket’s defensive combination of Kayti Jeromson and Sarah Kay were too strong, and the 1st quarter ended strongly in filsket’s favour.

In the 2nd quarter, again, Filsket’s strong midcourt play from Lois Phillips and Ciara Kelly worked well into the circle, with Rhianne Johnston hardly missing a goal.  The second quarter again ended strongly in Filskets favour

In the third quarter, Wastside were back to try and win some goals, with their attacking combinations of Aimee Keith, Natasha Tulloch and Nia Hunter working well, and succesfully regaining some goals.  This was not enough, however, to regain filskets now 20-point lead. Kelly had now switched to GK, and Sarah Kay to GD.

In the final quarter, Filsket were firmly in control.  Wastside fought back, but the goals from filsket were unrelenting.  Filsket took the game 55-17.

Player of the match was Aimee Keith for Wastside and Rhianne Johnston for Filsket
