Whalsay 28 V Tullochs Tornadoes 44

Both teams came out strong. Whalsays Catherine Williamson and Louise Johnson linked well up the court but with great defending from Tullochs Tornadoes, Emma Leask and Victoria Duthie, Tullochs took the lead and the quarter ended 8-11

With changes made, both teams started the second quarter hungry for a lead. Whalsay defenders Shelley Anderson and Natalie Constable made Tullochs Kirsti Leask and Tahnae Maclennan work extremely hard for every ball from their mid-court. After a fast-paced quarter the score was 22-13 to Tullochs Tornadoes.

Whalsay were determined to close the gap and the third quarter saw some excellent defending up the court from their WD, Marie Anderson and GD, Shelley Anderson. Tullochs quick play up the court and into the shooters, Leask and Maclennan, helped keep them in the lead with the quarter ending 33-22

The final quarter saw both teams work hard as they tirelessly fought until the end. Whalsays shooters Debbie Irvine and Karis Leask never gave up trying in the circle and took every chance to close the gap. However, Tullochs defenders Duthie and Leask gave them a run for their money with their quick thinking and the ability to read the passes, which gave Tullochs an advantage. The games ended 44-28 to Tullochs. Players of the match were Shelley Anderson for Whalsay and Emma Leask for Tullochs Tornadoes.
