The first quarter saw end to end play with both teams linking well up the court. Whalsay gained a slight lead through excellent defensive play with Natalie Constable & Karis Leask making key interceptions.
In the second quarter AHS settled well, with some great mid court interceptions and shooting from Imogen Teal & Jodie Walterson they levelled the score at 20-20.
The third quarter saw Whalsay gain a bigger lead. The whole team defended well up the court and linked excellently into GS Debbie Irvine who was not missing a shot. The quarter ended 39-27.
Both teams made some changes going into the last quarter, AHS took advantage of a few loose balls and there was great feeding into the circle from Abby Sandison but Whalsay were able to maintain their lead and won the match 49-36. Players of the match were Debbie Irvine for Whalsay and Abby Sandison for AHS.
