Yell claimed the first centre and took the first point of the game. With steady play from Yell on the court throughout saw them lead 7-3 half way through the first quarter. A few good interceptions from Challengers midcourt saw the quarter end with Yell taking an 8-5 lead.

There was some good end to end play in the second quarter with Challengers starting off strong to close the gap. With accurate shooting from Challengers GA and GS this made it difficult for Yell to secure a big lead. With both team’s defence playing strong the score at the end of the second quarter had Yell leading 17-16.

The third quarter had some fast play from both teams. With good movement and defending in the circle from Yell’s GD and GK this helped them to pull ahead. Challengers had some good interceptions which helped to pull them back with Yell only leading 30-25 at the end of the quarter.

The last quarter had some good defending from Challengers with fluid movement up the court. Valerie’s accurate shooting made it difficult for Yell’s defence to pick up rebounds, but with Yell’s attack playing well up the court and good shooting from Freya saw Yell take the game with a final score of 43-31
