AHS 31 v 26 Johnson Jaguars

The game started with the first centre pass from Johnson Jaguars that saw strong team work from Sophie Morris and Caitlin Munro to get the ball into the circle. AHS defenders Jess Fraser and Sadie Fox worked well together to turn game play around and feed the ball up the court to Caitlin Spence and Niamh Paton who were confidently putting up shots. The first quarter ended 10-7.

With no changes from the AHS side and very little changes from Johnson Jaguars, the second quarter started off at a fast pace which saw AHS take a while to settle into the game, which then gave Jaguars good chances to turn the game play over with strong interceptions from Freya Leslie and Chloe Jamieson, but with good team work from Fox and Fraser in defence they helped to settle AHS so that they could find their rhythm. The second quarter ended 16-12 to AHS.

The next quarter saw Johnson Jaguars determined to narrow the gap. The quarter started very evenly matched, with good mid court play from both sides, with both teams working tirelessly and Jaguars accurate shooting saw the gap narrow, however towards the end of the quarter AHS were able to maintain their lead due to strong work up and down the court from Jules Jarmson, Jodie Kerfoot and Miley Watt. The third quarter ended 22-18 to AHS

The fourth quarter started with a centre pass from AHS which saw the ball travelling at a fast pace up and down the court with goal to goal play with accurate shooting from both sides but with AHS determined to keep their lead they were able to pull ahead and with strong teamwork between Jarmson, Watt and Paton who were all linking well they were able to get the ball into the shooting circle. The game finished 31-26 to AHS. Players of the match were Jess Fraser for AHS and Freya Leslie for Johnson Jaguars.
