Johnsons Jaguars 36 V 20 Yell

The first centre of the match went to Johnsons Jaguars. There was great teamwork from both teams, Yell Defence Lesley Strachan and Kerry Nicolson tried hard to intercept but Johnson Jaguars shooters rarely missed a shot and took an early lead with the first quarter finishing 10-4.

The second quarter saw Yell’s Alice Jamieson and Sandra Petrie working together and getting many interceptions and driving the ball up the court to shooters Monica Dickie and Inga Inkster. Johnsons Jaguars held the lead ending the second quarter 18-8.

The third quarter saw Yell was determined to close the gap, Johnsons Jaguars Sandison sisters Jodie and Krissi worked hard to drive the ball up to shooter Rachel Young and Megan Nicolson who rarely missed a shot ending the third quarter at 24-16.

Both teams were tiring in the last quarter, Yell’s Ruby Lawson and Lori Ann Thomson working well passing the ball up court but Johnsons Jaguars Freya Leslie and Kayleigh Young managed to intercept and pass back up the court to Johnsons shooters ending 36-20 to Johnsons Jaguars. Players of the match were Megan Nicolson for Johnsons Jaguars and Inga Inkster for Yell.
