Da McEwans 36 V 35 Delting
The match started very closely as both teams settled into the game. Delting just edged it 11-8 at the end of the first quarter thanks to accurate shooting from Lara White and Erin Hunter.
The second quarter continued to be end to end but Da McEwans could not close the gap and Delting led 22-18 at half time.
Delting continued to dominate in the third quarter, with Ashley Hay and Adele Bennett working hard in mid court to keep feeding their shooters. They went into the last quarter leading 28-23.
Da McEwans came out all guns blazing in the 4th quarter and very quickly pulled level through Jenny Jamieson and Nicola Polson feeding great balls into shooters Mairi Polson and Brenna Irvine. At the other end defenders Faye Anderson, Amber Paton and Ellie Sutherland were on every ball and making life difficult for Delting’s attack. The quarter continued goal for goal right to the last whistle with Da McEwans winning 36-35 much to their delight. Players of the match were Ellie Sutherland for Da McEwans and Erin Hunter for Delting.
