Dutch Courage 19 V 47 Delting
Delting were quick to settle into the game, dominating play. Their defence were strong, with Jenna Mowat (GK) and Kaitlyn Johnson (GD) taking advantage of the Dutch Courage inexperienced shooters. Delting’s dominance continued in the second quarter with strong accurate shooting from Erin Hunter (GA) and Lara White (GS).
Dutch Courage suffered a huge blow at the end of the second quarter when WA, Gemma Leask, was forced to leave the game due to injury. Quarter 3 started fast, with young Anja Leslie (WA) stepping up for Dutch Courage. However, this wasn’t enough to close the gap. In the final quarter, Dutch Courage were determined not to give up. Sonja Jamieson (GK) and Martha Smith (GD) managed some great interceptions. However the game ended with Delting taking the win 47 – 19.
