Filsket 45 V 26 Kinetics
The game started enthusiastically by both teams with very equal play throughout resulting in 10 – 9 at the end of the first quarter. The second Quarter saw Filsket settle down and start to really link well together with some great turnovers and accurate shooting by Caitlin Spence and Holly Anderson. Ciara Kelly and Rozanne Jamieson defended well for Kinetics but Filsket gained a lead of 9 goals by half time with score of 21-12.
The second half of the game continued with Filsket taking advantage of any opportunity to build on their lead. Carina McLatchie came on in mid court to help WA Carla Johnston with lots of quick passes into GA Karis Irvine and GS Lucy Thompson. However, Filsket defence Sarah Kay and Jess Fraser kept on the pressure and the final score was 45-26 To Filsket. Players of the match were Caitlin Spence for Filsket and Carla Johnston for Kinetics.
