Kiwis took the first centre which was quickly intercepted by Tulloch’s who scored the first goal. Kiwis centre player Sanna Onhausz provided excellent support throughout the court and fast feeds into the circle which allowed Kiwis to pull ahead in the first quarter with a lead of 12-9.

The second quarter saw Kiwis off to a swift start. Tulloch’s defenders Emma Leask (GD) and Ruth Anderson (GK) had their work cut out for them. With Alina Murray’s (GA) speedy hands, feet and mind and Dawn Manson’s (GS) ability to score distance shots, Kiwi’s took a confident lead which brought the score to 23-17.

Returning to the court after half time, Kiwi’s played a patient quarter. With Maisie Unsworth (GD) and Kim Johnson (GK) forcing Tulloch’s to play the ball around the shooting circle, many interceptions were made. Unfortunately for Tulloch’s, this meant they scored few goals this quarter ending at 37-21.

Tulloch’s shooters regained confidence in the final quarter which earned the team half points. For Kiwi’s, their strong, steady and strategic play ensured a confident win of 47-27. Players of the match were Dawn Manson for Kiwis and Allie Elphinstone for Tulloch’s.
