The first quarter saw a few errors from both teams. Loungers secured the first goal with consistent shooting from Kaitlin Leslie. Shetland Juniors first to break centre pass and take the lead 3–2. Great shooting from Juniors Sadie Fox. The Loungers defence managed to make some great interceptions in the circle and kept the Loungers close in score. The first quarter ended 9–8 to Shetland juniors. In the second quarter Loungers quickly equalised against Juniors with some quick and accurate passing into the circle from Vicki Smith at centre. Midcourt bringing up defence for Loungers, with interceptions from both teams keeping the score tight. Great defence from Ella Johnson kept the Loungers shooters working hard. However, Loungers were able to pull ahead and lead the second quarter 22-16. The third quarter saw end to end play. Great defending by Juniors. A few loose balls from Loungers meant Juniors capitalised and almost shortened the gap. Lounger shooters continued with accurate shooting throughout the quarter particularly some excellent long-range shot from Kaitlin Leslie. The third quarter ended 36–27 to Loungers. In the final quarter the game started strong from both teams. Excellent all-round play from Loungers Ashley Symington with great interceptions and support up the court. Maisie Ramsay and Sadie Fox worked hard in the circle against Loungers defence with some super shooting. Fast attacking play from Cameron Johnston up the court. Great determination chasing down balls by Jessica Turnbull of Loungers with support from Diane Thompson. Ella Johnson and Annie Mowat defended right until the end but Loungers continued to hold their lead ending the game 49–36. Player of the match for the Shetland juniors went to Maisie Ramsay and Louise Moar for Loungers.
