McEwans 43 V 33 Mishaps
A fantastic game to end the season as always with these two teams. It was a closely fought out 1st quarter with end to end play and goal for goal. Mishaps with a squad of only the neat 7 were able to pull ahead to win the quarter 8-6. The second quarter saw McEwans come on court full of determination to get stuck into the game and this helped them pull ahead to take the lead at the end of the first half. 21 – 14.
Moving into quarter 3 McEwans brought on some fresh legs. Amazing defence from Isla Thomson and Amber Paton for McEwans was making it hard throughout the quarter for Mishaps shooters to score. Mishaps fairly pulled ahead in the third quarter but not enough to close the gap. The final quarter was fast and furious with McEwans aiming to get every ball. Fighting hard for the win McEwans took the lead finishing the game 43-33. Players of the match were Kelsey Robb for Mishaps and Amber Paton for McEwans.
