Mishaps 21 v 35 Scallywags
Both teams started off really well, fast paced and competitive. End to end play saw goal for goal in the first quarter with accurate shooting from both sides. Mishaps shooters Alicia Hunter and Morgan Henderson on target while Ella Robertson applied consistent pressure. Scallywags were fast off the line leading to them taking a marginal lead in the first quarter 9- 7.
Scallywags started to settle in their game with strong defending from Rhea Ni Tnuthail and Judy Hamer intercepting passes making hard work for Mishaps shooters. Meanwhile Scallywags shooters settling into their stride too with Jenna Moar and Anne-Marie Robertson rarely missing and taking the lead 16 – 12.
Mishaps centre court worked hard this quarter and it was goal for goal, both teams desperately fighting for every ball. Kelsey Robb for Mishaps working hard to get the ball into the circle and but Scallywags edging ever so slightly ahead in the quarter 22-17. The final quarter was again, fast paced and frantic with both teams working hard. Jenna Moar using the circle well and accurate shooting while Mishaps Morgan Taylor was applying much needed pressure in the circle.
Sophie Davidson for Mishaps worked hard in the circle to catch up to Scallywags but with the tight defending and accurate shooting from Scallywags saw them take a much deserved lead ending the game ahead of Mishaps 35-21. Players of the matcher were Kelsey Robb for Mishaps and Jenna Moar for Scallywags.
