Mishaps 29 V 38 Wastside
Both teams settled into the first quarter well with very even play throughout the court. Mishaps only with a neat 7 players saw Kelsey Robb (C) and Erica Mikolajczak (c) of Wastside keeping the play fast in the mid court, feeding accurate balls into both circles. Morgan Henderson (GA) for Mishaps settled into her role well missing nothing in the first quarter.
Moving into the 2nd quarter interceptions were abundant with Wastside picking up on Mishaps errors but this didn’t dampen Mishaps efforts, they continued to fight and was a very evenly matched second quarter from both sides.
The third quarter ended with just one goal between the teams, Erin Morrison (GS) Westside fairly finding her feet in the circle supported by Mhairi Moncrieff at GA. The pressure from mishaps defence was great, Brooke Williamson and Elaine Burgess in the circle for Mishaps piling on the pressure allowing this quarter to be so well fought out.
The final quarter saw Mishaps tire having no subs. Efforts form Wastsides centre court feeding into the circle where Erin Morrison was accurate enough to see Wastside take the lead. A high energy game left Mishaps behind this time with Wastside pulling ahead to win the game 38-29. Player of the match were Erin Morrison for Wastside and Kelsey Robb for Mishaps.
