There was accurate shooting from both teams throughout the match. Excellent interceptions from midcourt Wastside WA Ashley Hunter helped to regain possession for her team. Mishaps started to find their stride and began pulling ahead but Wastside catching up to pull ahead by 1 goal at the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter started off very similar as both teams were fighting for every ball and brilliant defending from Mishaps GK & GD. Brooke Williamson getting interceptions well for Mishaps but Wastside again pulled ahead by 2 points.

The 3rd quarter started with Mishaps quickly finding their feet. Good defence and interceptions were made by Wastside but Mishaps were managing to secure the ball with some great centre passes from Mishaps. Some good marking made by GK for Wastside, keeping Mishaps GA and GS on their toes. But by the end of this quarter Mishaps managed to pull ahead with 5 goals.

Moving into the 4th quarter both teams started strong, with some quick but strong passes. Kelsey Robb feeding the ball in well alongside Leah Henry. Strong court play from Wastsides Mhairi. Both teams stayed strong and focused. Mishaps making nearly every shot in this quarter took the lead and finished the game with it being 33-25 to the Mishaps.
