Mishaps 43 V 19 Delting

The game started evenly with both teams doing well. Mishaps showed some strong passes which made it back to their shooters Alicia Hunter and Morgan Henderson getting the goals for the Mishaps. Deltings GK Jenna Mowat had good marking making it a bit more of a challenge to let the ball get into the circle. But with the pace being quick and both teams starting strong there was not much in it as the first quarter ended with 5-4 to Mishaps.

Delting played some good passes around the centre court with GA Erin Hunter getting the ball to Lara White GS who got the shots in nicely. Mishaps was marking tight with GK Morgan Taylor grabbing in the rebounds and getting the ball out of the Delting circle. There was brilliant play between Mishaps WD Leah Henry and C Kelsey Robb. Leaving the second quarter with mishaps still taking the lead 11-9.

Delting passes were strong between Meryn Carter and Kaitlyn Johnson making their way up to the circle in the third quarter. Mishaps showed strong play here with their shooters barely missing a shot. At certain points of the game, small mistakes lead to mishaps gaining more possession of the ball. Elaine Burgess GK for Mishaps grabbed in some great rebounds from the Delting circle passing up the court where Suzanne Manson WA was ready to catch the high throws.

The third quarter showed a bigger gap this time with Mishaps leading 33-14. The last quarter showed more strong play, from both teams. Delting wasn’t showing any signs of giving up and continued to play with strong passes. Although taking in a few goals in this quarter Mishaps went on strong with the game ending 43-19. Players of the match were Leah Henry for Mishaps and Kaitlyn Johnson for Delting.
