Ness 24 V 24 Kiwis
The first Quarter started off tight with both teams working hard to get the ball to the shooting circle. Great defending from both teams saw the quarter ending 8 -7 in Kiwis favour. Moving into the second quarter the game continued to be tight. Great zone defending from Kiwi’s and once intercepted, moving the ball down the court to their shooters. Good defending from Ailish Goodlad (GD) from Ness, shooters working hard in the circle to get the ball. Second quarter ending 13-12 Kiwis.
The third Quarter raised tensions as the game continued to be close with goals going in from team to team. Estelle Smith (GS) from Ness not missing a shot. Kiwi’s mid court were working hard, Holly King (WD) Kiwis fighting hard and successfully getting interceptions from Ness. The third quarter ending 18 – 17 to Kiwis.
Last quarter tensions were high with both teams working high to great a gap in the score. Kiwis shooters Dawn Manson (GS) and Rhianne Colvin (GA) getting a couple of goals in the first few minutes but Ness soon brought it back. The score was tight and both teams fought hard with the game ending in a draw 24-24. Players of the match were Estelle Smith for Ness and Holly King for Kiwis.
