Shetland Juniors 36 V 25 Filsket
Both sides starters off strong with good end to end play. Filsket’s Holly Anderson’s accurate shooting took them the lead. Juniors mid court Jules Jarmson and Jenny Jamieson worked well together to feed the ball into Juniors circle and the match was brought back to a draw with the quarter ending on 9-9.
The next quarter started off strong from Juniors with good pace and great work up the court from Evie Williamson to get the ball into her shooters Sadie Fox and Maisie Ramsay. Although, Filsket defence were working hard to redirect the ball back up to their attacking end where Caitlin Spence was feeding well into Filsket’s circle. This quarter ended 19-15 to Juniors.
3rd quarter again started at even pace from both sides. With Juniors Lois Tait working hard at C to maintain Junior’s possession. Filskets mid court Kayti Jeromson and Jess Fraser were also working tirelessly to try and delay Juniors efforts. Michaela Christie and Kaitlyn Johnson managed to secure numerous rebounds bringing Juniors to a lead of 26-22 going into the final quarter.
For the final quarter Filsket worked hard to bring up the score with accurate shooting from Spence and Anderson, however their efforts were obstructed by Juniors defences, with help from mid court Evie Williamson and Lois Tait moving the ball quickly and precisely back up the court for Juniors to secure a few more points. The match ended 36-25 to Juniors, with a well-played match from both teams.
