Tulloch Tornadoes 44 V 21 SFC Filsket
Tullochs got off to a confident start with quick, accurate passing from mid court to shooters Emma Sandison and Claire Thomason, with the 1st quarter ending 11-3 to Tullochs. Filsket began to find their rhythm in the 2nd quarter, with Anne-Marie Goudie and Ailee Burgess working well together to get the ball to shooters Kayti Jeromson and Caitlin Spence. Defenders Emma Leask and Astri Balfour made it difficult for Filsket to keep possession, intercepting at every opportunity.
The 2nd half saw Tullochs once again take control of the game and both teams moved players around in the 3rd quarter. Filsket began to fight back with strong play from Kirsten Jeromson C, and Brooke Leslie GA, however Tullochs were relentless and managed to keep Filsket attackers from getting up to the circle and the quarter ended 35-15.
The final quarter saw tight defence from Filsket’s GD Kayti Jeromson and GK Sarah Kay, working hard in the circle, but the fast pace and accurate passing from WA Allie Elphinstone’s meant Tulloch’s could further their lead with great shooting from Emma Leask who shone in her less familiar position of GA. The game ended 44-21 to Tulloch’s with players of the match Kayti Jeromson for Filsket and Astri Balfour for Tullochs.
