Tulloch Tornadoes 58 V 16 SFC Filsket
The game started at a fast pace with both teams battling to gain the lead. Smooth passing from Claire Morris (C) up to Cameron Johnston (WA) and Tahlia Leslie (GA) lead to an easy way into the circle to Tahnae Maclennan (GS). This brought Tullochs in the lead in the end of the first quarter 15 – 4.
The fast pace continued into the second quarter with great defensive work from both teams. Ann-Marie Goudie (WA) intercepted and gave great support around the circle for Filsket. This enabled Filsket to get a good few shots in with their great teamwork. Shooters Brooke Leslie (GS) and Holly Anderson (GA) worked well together. Defence Emma Leask (GK) and Hannah Robertson (GD) put in a good fight and received some interceptions to play back into Tullochs favour, ending the second quarter 26 – 7 to Tullochs.
In the third quarter Tullochs were still strong with their passing up the middle third. Allie Elphinstone (WA) offered great spacing and support to other members of the team. Shooters Tahnae Maclennan (GS) and Tahlia Leslie (GA) were working incredibly well together in the circle against defence Kristen Jeromson (GK) and Kayti Jeromson (GD). Managing to end the third quarter 44 – 10 to Tullochs.
Fourth and final quarter, neither team deteriorated. Strong teamwork for Tullochs and Filsket. Hannah Robertson (GK) and Ava Williams (GD) made some interceptions and movement allowing the ball to travel back through the court to the shooters. Tullochs were determined to keep game play smooth. Filsket made very strong defensive moves and strong passes. Tullochs secured the win at 58, Filsket 16. Players of the match were Brooke Leslie for Filsket at (GS / GA) and Hannah Robertson for Tullochs (GK / GD).
