The first quarter saw end to end play with both teams working well together to create opportunities. Especially Megan Nicolson and Sophie Morris who linked effectively in attack, despite the Wastside defenders multiple efforts from Sarah Johnston, Shona Hunter and Bronwyn Walterson who were solid, creating turnarounds. Although Johnson Jaguars had a few less chances on goal, they still managed to finish the first quarter quarter two goals ahead, 6 – 4. The second quarter saw jaguars score a series of goals but Wastside remained calm and picked up their momentum in attack, Courtney Young and Erica Mikolajczak flowed well with Erin Morrison who was ready to convert goals. At half time the score was 17 – 8 to Johnson Jaguars. In the third quarter the Jaguars defenders Abby Harcus, and Ruth Morris who were proven to be very fit created many chances for their side. At the end of the third quarter Jaguars managed to increase their lead to 26 – 14. The final quarter Maisie Malcolmson and Ruth Morris worked tirelessly and with their ability to read the game well, the play from Wastside was more frantic. However both teams played determinedly with Jaguars securing a win, 33 – 22. Players of the match were Ruth Morris for Johnson Jaguars and Erin Morrison for Wastside.
