Yell 29 V 17 Unst
Yell had first centre centre pass against Unst and were quick to get the first shot in. There were good interceptions made from both sides which kept the ball moving up and down the court and making the first quarters centre passes long and well fought, however with good and accurate shooting from Yells GA and GS the first quarter finished 6-3 to Yell.
In the second quarter Unst came back strong with their defence putting pressure on Yells mid court making it hard for Yell to get the ball passed into the circle. Unsts GS had excellent shots to close the gap meanwhile Yells GK made fantastic interceptions which meant Yell stayed in the lead and at half time it was 10-9 to Yell.
With changes made from both teams the third quarter started off fast pace. Unsts mid court worked well together linking passes however Yells GK and GD getting rebounds and excellent shooting from Yells GS meant Yell widened the gap again and the score was 19-13 to Yell.
In the last quarter Unsts WA provided good support around their shooting circle feeding the ball to Unsts GA who was always in a good position ready for the ball. Yells Centre made good runs creating space for the ball to move quickly up the court to Yells shooting end where where Yells GS made some lovely shots despite Unsts strong defence which allowed Yell to win the game 29-17.
