The first quarter began very close with both teams fighting strong, Kiwis took the lead at the end of the quarter 7-12.
Filsket came back on court determined to close the gap however Kiwi’s defence were making it difficult for Filsket’s midcourt. Despite some good passing and interceptions by Filsket, Kiwi’s shooters found their feet and ended the second quarter at 15-23.
Both teams made a few changes in the third quarter, great play from both teams, especially Filsket’s sister duo Kayti & Kristen Jeromson in defence. Despite the changes made to both teams Kiwi’s Alina Murray rarely missed a shot leaving the third quarter 22-31.
The final quarter continued with strong linking play from both teams, however Kiwi’s took the lead to win the game 29-45. Players of the Match were Lisa Emslie for Filsket and Natalie Stevens for Kiwis.
