There was a frantic start to the match, with both teams taking a while to settle. As Scallywags play became more decisive, it brought them an early lead of seven goals. Scallywags Centre Rowan Nicolson and WA Anne Leask worked well together getting passes forward to GA Anne-Marie Robinson. Despite tight marking and many interceptions from All Sorts defence Chloe Howarth and Kayleigh Young, Scallywags managed to maintain their lead. The quarter ended 10-1 to Scallywags.

All Sorts changed their team going into the second quarter, while Scallywags stayed the same to try keep up the score. There was even tighter defence from Allsorts, however it didn’t stop Scallywags shooters. Strong defence from Scallywags Judy Hamer and Rhea Isbister made it difficult for All Sorts to score. Scallywags kept the lead, to the end of the quarter, with the score now 20-5.

First goal of the third quarter went to Scallywags. While All Sorts defence worked very hard to keep up with Scallywags shooters, WA and Centre made strong passes into the circle. Both team worked well to carry the ball up the court. Kayleigh Gear’s skill at long range shooting paid off for All Sorts despite strong defending from Scallwaygs. The quarter ended 27-10 to Scallywags.

Scallywags has first centre pass of the fourth quarter however All Sorts strong defence meant that it was a couple of minutes before a goal was scored. Scallywags struggled to get the ball into the circle but kept possession through good passes between WD, WA and Centre. Allsorts GS Rachel Young made a strong impact to the score and the game finished 33-18 to Scallywags, yielding half points for All Sorts.
